Introduction to the Role
We are seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer with superior analytical skills and experience or education in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Process Improvement, and/or Project Management. Primarily, this role is responsible for robotics and automation advancements to help our company grow.
Responsibilities & Duties

Research opportunities for new manufacturing equipment, including robotics and/or automation for our fabrication and assembly departments, and lead project implementation;

Coordinate production improvement projects with Production Management by designing with 3D modeling software, completing cost analysis, and preparing business cases;

Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives;

Assist in new product launches by suggesting production-friendly designs to increase efficiencies;

Improve processes in relation to ISO 9001 standard;

Contribute to maintenance process improvements;

Improve production ergonomics by researching new technology to assist in the fabrication and assembly processes;

Assist with documentation for the above responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Engineering or equivalent experience required;

Professional level of written and oral communication required; both official languages an asset;

Previous experience with automation preferred;

Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication and/or assembly;

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and 3D CAD software;

Experience in Lean manufacturing an asset.
